Lowran hails from Marseille, France. As a young boy in the '80s, Lowran would spend a lot of time hanging around music shops. In 1988, during a trip to Berlin, he discovered Electro, Industrial, Acid Techno and Detroit Techno.
In the late '90s, he hosted a radio show called "Alpha 60", showcasing Detroit Electro and Chicago Acid. In 2001, Lowran launched his second radio show called "Asymetrikk", mixing various moods like Ambient, Click, and Minimal.
Lowran is also one of the first people to co-host Minimal events in Marseille, like "Los tornados of the diskoteka", "Playschool" and "Electric Touch".
He was also a resident artist for many of the Bip-Hop events. Around this time, he met Sam and Dave, and now they are forever best friends.
Today, Lowran co-hosts the "Music for Sex" parties in Marseille alongside his good friend Greg Le Roy. SDL currently has music released on Indigo*Magenta, StirSound, Unfoundsound or Roman Photo.
